‘As we draw near to God continually, He strengthens us to believe that our weaknesses will be turned into strength and our unbelief into strong faith. The dew of His presence and the power of His love will cause the change in us by His powerful Word.’ (Smith Wigglesworth)

Nehemiah’s prayerful obedience to the Word of the Lord and his skillful leadership together with Ezra’s spiritual uplifting of the people, finished the building! Nehemiah constantly prayed that God would strengthen their hands and that God would remember them for good, for the work they did for Him. May God remember all the people who will help us, in one way or another, to finish the building of our Church. May God strengthen our hands today and stir up our hearts to complete the building of the Church. I decree that today! May those who despise or ignore the work that we are doing, be forgotten.

God is a Spirit and has to be worshipped in spirit and truth. He showed us what He is like by sending Jesus in the form of a man. Jesus left the splendor of heaven to take on an earthly form so that He could understand us and also give His life as a ransom for all our sins. The life of Jesus illustrates the form of God to us. Godliness is Godlikeness. We grow in Godliness as Christ is formed within us.

Break through into the realm of faith where you actually believe you are right with God, by faith in Christ Jesus. You can approach the throne of grace boldly, you can enter the new and living way through the veil, which is His body (the Church today). The forces of heaven are behind you, Satan’s plans against you are already defeated. You are a conqueror in this life through Christ. You are an overcomer in this life. You are justified through faith. Confess these things to appropriate them. You break sin through righteousness. You enjoy the promises of God through righteousness. Righteousness is a gift given to those who believe in Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:17) You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. (II Corinthians 5:21)

God will perfect that which concerns you. The good work God has started He will complete. He will form Christ in you so that it will be manifested on the outside – effortlessly! His grace is sufficient for you. His plan for your life is perfect. He will also do it. He is faithful and can be trusted completely.

Be filled with the Spirit… A command that changed people’s lives. Don’t be filled with wine. It causes dissipation (scatters energy, over-indulgence) but be filled with the Spirit. It makes you single-minded. You can focus on what you have to do.

There is a book in heaven that no one was worthy to open, no one was worthy to break its seals. There was silence in heaven. This book contains all the blessings of God as well as God’s final plans for the earth. These blessings and plans could not be revealed unless someone broke the seals of the book.

Here are a few guidelines for practical Christian living with patience. The Christian life demands discipline and yet promises the liberty of the sons of God. It seems like a paradox at first, but it really shows perfect patience or balance. The comparison with an athlete in a race gives us certain guidelines for practical Christian living.

Today is the day of salvation. If you cry out to the Lord Jesus for mercy, He will have mercy on you and change your situation. Acknowledge your need for mercy and put your confidence in Him. Tell Him you will testify about His mercy and His goodness, and He will show His mercy to you. Receive His mercy today and glorify Him.

The lamb & the lion lie together in our spirits, because Jesus fulfilled Isaiah’s prophecy about the future world in which righteousness reigns in His Kingdom! We have that Kingdom within us. It is our Father’s good pleasure to give us that Kingdom. So we have the lion nature to be bold when we have to and the lamb nature that makes us submit to the will of God for our lives, within us!

Christianity has a price tag. It means you must lay down your life for Christ’s sake. It costs everything. Jesus explained, ‘if you lose your life for My sake and the Gospel’s, you will find it.’ While you try to preserve your own life, you will lose it.

Jesus was single-minded to accomplish His mission on earth. It cost his life. James 1:8 tells us a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. A stable mind does not stagger at the promises of God – like Abraham (Romans 4:20). Jesus promised to manifest Him to those who obey His Word. Do you want Jesus to reveal Him to you? Then increase your obedience to the Word of God.

In the New Testament every Apostolic Epistle starts with an Apostolic Blessing or greeting: ‘Grace & Peace to you!’ The reason why the Apostles did that was because they pronounced the Aaronic Blessing on believers! They knew what they were doing and the people understood it too. It is not just a lame religious exercise, but it is a powerful blessing for those who believe!

Because we are forgiven and risen with Christ we put off the old man of sin & selfish living and put on the new man that is made in the image of Christ Jesus (Col 3:5-17) and it has a positive, holy influence on all our relations (Col 3:18-25) We are a new species of being in Christ. We learn to make Him pre-eminent in everything we do or say and He takes care of so many things we think we have to take care of. We cast our cares on Him for He cares for us.

It’s hard to think about Jesus praying twice for a man. We expect Him to do it only once because He is the Son of God. And yet he prayed twice for a blind man in Bethsaida. I always wonder about that. Why was it necessary?

Pontius Pilate asked Jesus, ‘what is truth?’ He should have asked, ‘who is truth?’ Truth became personified in Jesus Christ. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. And then the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. (John 1:1-3 & 14) Emmanuel – God with us. The Word or Truth of God sanctifies us.

As a new creation, you have access to God’s wisdom, strength, provision, protection; you have access to everything God has through what Jesus Christ has accomplished. 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” Philippians 1:6 – “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ”

It’s possible that we can learn to please God. Jesus said “My Father has not left me. He is always with me because I always do the things that please Him.” In Christ, we already please God because we believe in His Son. Here are some definite ways to please God.

Abraham was the first person who believed that God could raise someone from the dead. He believed that God would raise his son from the ashes of the offering. In doing so, he paved the way for us to believe that God could raise Jesus from the dead. Abraham came from a land of idols, where people sacrificed their children to false gods. God stopped him from harming Isaac, and told him that He Himself will provide: a prophetic statement that God would provide an offering for the reconciliation of mankind.

The church is not merely the house of God. It is the gate of heaven! That is the entry point into heaven. God’s presence is there. No matter how hard or dark your situation might be, God’s presence will never leave you if you are part of a church. He will give you a dream that will change your life and change the place where you are.

Israel was not merely a chose people but they were chosen to serve God among all the other nations: ‘un people choisi pour me servir’ (Exode 19:1-25). In the New Covenant the Church is a chosen race, a peculiar and holy nations to show forth the praises of God in the world (I Peter 2:9).
